   Before booking overnight boarding, all dogs must pass our Overnight Boarding Temperament Test Evaluation. This overnight evaluation allows us to see how your pup adjusts to boarding and our nighttime routine. The evaluation stay is free of charge and must be completed before booked stay.

A Day in the Life of a Boarding Guest

Boarding at Taps & Tails is more than a place to sleep. Each day follows a thoughtfully designed routine that gives dogs time to play, eat, rest, recharge, and settle comfortably into their stay.

6:00 AM — Rise, Shine & Sniff

The day begins with a supervised potty break, fresh air, and plenty of time to stretch those legs.

6:30 AM — Breakfast in Bed

Breakfast is served in each dog’s individual overnight space, along with fresh water and any scheduled medications.

7:30 AM — Let’s Play!

After breakfast has had time to settle, boarding guests join our daycare dogs for structured, supervised social play.

12:00 PM — Rest & Recharge

Even the most energetic dogs need downtime. Boarding guests return to their individual spaces for a quiet midday rest.

Lunch, snacks, or enrichment activities are provided when scheduled.

1:30 PM — Back to the Fun

Refreshed and ready to go, dogs return to supervised play for more movement, socialization, and time to explore.

4:00 PM — Dinner & Decompression

Dinner is served in a calm environment, followed by time to digest, relax, and recharge before the evening.

7:00 PM — One More Round of Play

Boarding guests enjoy a final supervised play session and potty break before beginning their bedtime routine.

8:30 PM — Time to Settle In

Fresh water? Check.

Comfortable sleeping space? Check.

Doors and crate security double-checked? Check.

Our team completes a calm, careful wind-down routine so every boarding guest is ready for a peaceful night.

Before Your Dog’s First Stay

Every new boarding guest must complete a complimentary weekday trial night before booking a longer stay. This allows us to see how your dog eats, rests, settles overnight, and adjusts to our routine.
